Advisor’s Mission Statement of Learning:
To develop each student to their fullest business potential through a real-world business application approach to learning. Integrating proper business techniques, training and real business application theory, exploration, creative thinking, and most of all to have fun as they learn and work with a vast diverse segment of real local business leaders & markets.
As a teacher/student business advisor, I strive for excellence in my own continued business education of learning, teaching abilities and methods to prepare my students knowledge, skills, and experience for the demanding real world of Business. This is enhanced and pursued through expanding business marketing relationships with real local business leaders, extensive personal research and implementation of new marketing means and technology enhancements.

We all understand that all Business and Marketing teachers have less time and opportunities to teach all the traditional Business & Marketing subjects today. But all teachers need to maintain the quality of their programs by ensuring each student participating in their courses receives important knowledge and experience with and about business. The Student Business/Marketing Organization develops such an opportunity for this all to happen in and outside of the classroom. Our “Business/Marketing in a Box” provides teachers with a simple, wide variety of business, marketing, career, and economic models designed to enhance their ability to teach business concepts and realism to their students. Students will leave knowing the basics of business and marketing. They will develop a greater appreciation of the elements and characteristics required of a successful business and the need to stay current with new technologies that continue to change the landscape of all Business & Marketing.
Areas of Enhanced Learning & Experience Obtained by the Students:
Accounting Setup & Business Bookkeeping. Setup and maintain a simple set of accounting records management for the Student Business Organizations business. Teach the students to keep an accurate set of books to show and represent their business activities on an ongoing basis. Each transaction will be consumated by the business owner with either credit card or PayPal ONLY transactions. This protects all students and business customers to ensure proper payments to the student business/marketing organization via a monthly statement of activity for easy and proper bookkeeping records management. A student organization unique referral code is used for each schools activities. All initial purchases made by the client business will automatically earn the school business/marketing organization a generous 40% commission. All subsequent yearly update renewals will also earn a generous 40% commission for the life of the student organization-business relationship.
Business & Marketing Models. The Advisor and students will be fully trained via the detailed information and video slide shows shown in the back office sections of MarketPad.biz. The training videos will be available full time to all advisors and students for unlimited viewing and training opportunities. MarketPad.com is loaded with effective business models to build strong student to business relationships that will encourage activity for many years.
Business Law. Real Applications within a simple Student Organization owned Marketing Business structure. The student advisor will be able to teach about the opportunities of the business model and build into their student discussions the proper use of sales materials, business ethics in truth of advertising, and preferred business structures with simple required compliance to all city, state and federal tax laws.
Career Exposure. Our business model promotes building close student relationships with potentially hundreds of exceptional local business owners and managers. As students present their “Power Pages” opportunities with numerous advantages over traditional website designs, they will be able to aid the business owner to better design their web presence to meet their needs. Attach current business traditional websites, and/or build and design banner ad applications provided by MarketPad.com. Having a vast number of unique businesses offers all participating students a wide range of business variety exposure. Students will be able to educate and assist all business owners of several valuable business models embedded in MarketPad.com. This will build strong relationships with local business leaders and opportunities for student business internships and part time jobs. The value of the product offered and the building of the student-to-business relationship will generate a strong year over year residual business model. This will create an ongoing income opportunity to the Student Business Organization to fund its required needs for student competitions, travel and potential scholarship offerings.
Communications Skills. Students will learn proper and effective Sales & Marketing Techniques to promote the valuable website product and business models embedded in a MarketPad.com format. Students learn to work together in business unit teams. Students prepare their customer sales approach in 3 member teams. This promotes more confidence in the students and offers them a more secure & safe environment. Students will further teach their business clients the effective communication business models embedded in MarketPad.com while answering business questions and help solve basic business issues and problems most small business managers face in today’s markets. Students can build the opportunity to become part of the marketing team of their participating business client base.
Economics and Business Models to Meet Customer Needs. Students will be able to present to their prospective clients a more affordable and effective website presence to each customer to enhance their business relationships with their customers. Better communication with customers will help grow their business with lower capital investment required under a MarketPad.com model. The Strategic Business Categories, Coupon Distribution Center, Instant Business Flyers, Smart Phone QR Codes, Business Facebook Communication Model, Ease of Website Updates & Changes, GPS Mapping Features, Rotational Banner Ads in Strategic Local Placement, and Affiliation to the American Hero Support Club Brand will all be a solid offering to expose all students with real life experience while meeting-helping-educating local business in their districts and beyond.

PRACTICE MAKES PERFECT:
In one to two hour’s of practice, the Advisor can learn and understand every detail of our wonderful marketing site and program! We have a shadow site that is a testing/practice site that duplicates the live MarketPad.com site. The shadow site is also where we Beta Test all our new ideas and upgrades to make MarketPad.com the best it can be. The shadow site offers you the best opportunities to bring this into your classroom to teach each business model and template we offer to your students learning experience. You learn it first in just an hour or so, and then teach your students following our simple outline. EVERYONE Learns by Doing! As you become familiar with our site-your personal creativity will kick in and you can make this a very fun and exciting learning experience for all your students! This business model will further generate thousands of dollars each year to your student organization.
LEARN BY DOING:
Build and practice with mock business website listings. Start with an Advisor Business Example. Look at our site and copy what a real business created. Real Estate Agents, Title companies, Electrical, Plumbers, Insurance Companies, Lawyers, Grocery Stores, Restaurants, Hotels, Car Dealers, RV and Powersport Dealers, etc. We have a vast number of real examples to build the skills & marketing knowledge of your students. OR BETTER YET, many of your student’s parents, family, and friend’s families own and operate their own small business. Try building a Websites Presence & Ad for them with the input from the student knowledge or interview with the business owners. Print off the Flyers; send the parents the URL for viewing and you will probably sell them an annual package! This is a great opportunity to teach simple marketing skills. Teach: What to say and how to say it to capture a customer’s interest by meeting their needs and objectives in their business. Have the client e-mail or phone number easy to view for customers. Many businesses can be better served with lots of pictures with captions to show their work. i.e. Jewelry store with their hundreds of creations, or a concrete finisher showing his work with stains or stamped patterns, a solar panel company showing their roof installations, or a lawyer showing his large staff of experts—-etc. Learn the simple templates that auto fill the Flyers, Coupons.
Learn & teach how to setup a simple account. How to Build the Business Power Page by going step by step through the templates. Watch the simple “How To” slideshows for more directions. This builds critical & creative thinking. Look for the special business (Feature-Benefits) that should be distinguished on their site that is important to their customers. Keyboarding skills, spelling, using bold, underline, bullet points, or change the text color or background. Make the Website Power Page presence attractive, eye catching, AND informative!
Learn & teach to add & remove pictures with captions. A picture can be worth a 1,000 words, but with a caption it could be worth 10 TIMES that for many businesses. Teach your students how to take a good picture. Most Clients will have their own great pictures they would like to show on their website, but be prepared to have the students take 3-5 good pictures that show the skills and special products their customers want to see in their website presence! A great shot for the Main Business Photo could be the business building and/or Business street sign. Or it could be the friendly receptionist with a great smile to make you feel comfortable making an appointment (dental office or CPA etc.). This is where you and your student’s creativity can come in. If the business has no pictures, it takes just 2 minutes to take a few well angled shots with a simple $50 digital camera (most students today have great cameras in their cell phones)-email them to the customers computer and you are ready to close the deal! It takes just 15 to 20 minutes setting up a simple, but effective website presence power page for business client. The client can always go back and make all the changes or added features they want. (The students could also take back the basic information gathered from the client and do it in class as a project, or during a Student Business/Marketing Organization after school meetings. Create the Website Power Page to the customer satisfaction and then hand it over to the client where they can easily change the login password for future ad/website protection).
Learn & teach how to add a YouTube video to a Business Power Page Text Area. Many of your business clients will own and have rights to their own TV commercials or corporate promotional videos. Simply show them how to put them on YouTube and then place them on their Website Power Page in the Text Body Area of their Template! It’s very powerful to add a full business video to their website listing in just 5 minutes! Videos also help in higher search engine results.
Learn & teach how to build a Coupon for business specials. Note how it also is posted in the Coupon Section of our Web Platform, so your client’s business with a coupon is now seen TWICE on our site! A second part of this great feature is to also teach your customers how to quickly create the coupon special and immediately send it via Facebook or Twitter or Google+ to all their followers for more immediate marketing impact. With a Business Website Power Page completed-learn how to show and print out a Business Flyer, use a Smart Phone showing how to use the QR Codes, show the customers the GPS Mapping features with driving directions. Teach how to grab the Business Power Page URL and e-mail them to prospective customers.

START YOUR NEW COMPANY: You will become an Independent Contractor in your own business (all documents and paperwork are found online at www.MarketPad.biz . Contact your state and file the simple paperwork to start your new business marketing company. (This will be your only small financial investment for this program). I’d recommend using part of your schools name or mascot in your new business marketing company name. Example: Bulldog Marketing, LLC (for Gonzaga University Business Program) or EV Knights Marketing, LLC (for East Valley High School-Knights). This is a great time to get creative, but you want to associate your schools relationship to the efforts and programs you offer to build confidence and acceptance by your business community. An added major goal of the program is to enhance your penetration into the business community to not only teach students more about business by being in business, earn the student business organization annual funding, but to capture and develop key business owners attention for student business internship opportunities with your program.
COMPLETE YOUR OWN BUSINESS POWER PAGES PRESENCE – Create (FREE) your own business “Power Pages” presence and use it for your marketing efforts as an example to what other customers can do with their Business “Power Pages“, send current valuable business messages and articles (we provide for you on an on-going basis) and a THANK YOU note to all the current business owners that purchased your package. E-mail a video explaining our site to the business owners that need to think about it for awhile (educate them and then call them back). It is your web presence tool-so use it in full capacity as you would train your business customers to use theirs. Set the Example! As you teach your students how to better use our system as you work to capture a client base, students will better understand the business models and will be able to pass that advise on to each of your customers. SALES/MARKETING TEAMS OF (3) THREE MEMBERS EACH – With your students competent in managing and building business “Power Pages” coupons-profiles-e flyers, Facebook & Twitter links, add and change pictures with captions, and armed with a full understanding of the five simple business models embedded into our platform, it is time to build teams of 3 members each. It is recommended to create teams with various strengths and ages. Put a shy person in a team with an outgoing person. Teams of 3 are safer and more confident to ask business owners for their time to make a simple presentation to help their business. A mixture of older students working with younger students with a designated team leader teaches leadership skills and group organization. Have each group be able to present different parts of the presentation. Business owners are always pleased and impressed to see a young team of students making best efforts and working as a team to get their business presentation made in a clear and time effect period. Focus the presentations on what our product can do for each business owner. That is the keys to the business models list.
COLLECT ALL INFORMATION FROM EVERY TEAM – Have one of the 3 team members take notes of what their business contacts said during all their sales presentations? What questions did they ask the team? What objections did they offer? What do they like about the platform? Do they have other referral business contacts that the team could approach? Collecting all this information over time will provide a great resource to your education and teaching content. You will find out the top 20 issues most small business is concerned about. You will be able to have student’s brain storm proper and effective answers to all concerns and objections. With this knowledge, you will be able to guide your students to look at each issue and break it down to create solutions and build on their customer needs and objectives.
BOOKKEEPING – MarketPad.com will provide clear monthly printouts of all activities your school has earned and developed.
